Welcome to Blackheath Quaker Meeting
Quakers believe "that of God" is present in every person. We meet together in the quiet to deepen our awareness and find the inward source of our strength.
We try to live simply and sustainably and to trust in love. Putting our faith into action is at the heart of our life and we work towards peace, equality and justice.
Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday mornings from 10.30 to 11.30
at Blackheath Quaker Meeting House, Lawn Terrace, Blackheath, London SE3 9LL.
“Each of us has a particular experience of God and each must find the way to be true to it.”

Important update 20 March 2020
In the light of the guidance below from Friends House, Blackheath Elders and the clerking team have discussed how we should best proceed.Last Sunday's meeting for worship will be the last meeting in Blackheath Meeting House until further notice. It's been pointed out that this doesn't mean that we can't have meeting for worship, just that we can't do it with us all together in the same space. So, some of us will try to sit down quietly on Sunday mornings at 10.30, prayerfully aware that other F/friends from our local meeting and across the country will be doing the same. We can keep the silence in our usual way, and hold one another in the Light. When the warmer weather comes, we might be able to arrange a meeting for worship on the heath where we could keep a safe distance apart from one another.
Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre has online meetings for worship several times a week that are open to all. See here for details.
Keep safe, Friends
